The decision redirects all resources to Pudgy World, a browser-based virtual world unveiled in March 2026. Fans who invested time and money into Pudgy Party’s mini-games and collectibles have flooded social media with protests.

The pivot reflects a broader industry trend toward persistent web3 environments over standalone apps. Pudgy World’s 12-town metaverse and narrative quests now represent the project’s flagship offering, hosted on its 'The Berg' platform. The move comes despite Pudgy Party’s high-profile launch campaign, which included a Times Square promotion in September 2025.
